MANILA, Philippines 鈥 Five Luzon areas will experience rain on Saturday due to the prevailing聽southwest monsoon, locally termed habagat, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Pagasa weather specialist Daniel James Villamil said the southwest monsoon is forecast to cause cloudy skies with rain showers and thunderstorms in the Ilocos Region, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will see generally fair weather conditions on Saturday although localized thunderstorms may occur in the afternoon, he added.
