MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has issued new policy guidelines on the listed offenses under the vape law, clarifying which business practices are considered as violations for sellers and manufacturers of the consumer product.

In its eight-page Policy Advisory No, 24-01 series of 2024 dated Sept. 4, the DTI said violations on packaging and health warnings include those that are not highly visible and full-color graphic health warnings.

Vape product packaging that does not follow the content, format, specifications and graphic health warnings specified by the Department of Health are deemed violations.

The absence of internal revenue fiscal markings are also considered an offense. Further, the DTI said that receptacles of vape products that are not child-resistant, tamper-resistant, and are not protected against breakage and leakage are also part of the offenses list.
