LUCENA CITY 鈥� An elderly female pedestrian died after she was hit by a speeding motorcycle along the Maharlika Highway in Gumaca town in Quezon province on Friday night, police said.
The Quezon police said in a report Saturday, September 28, that 66-year-old Lizame Armonia was bumped at 7:20 p.m. by the motorcycle driven by one 鈥淛oshua鈥� while she was about to cross a section of the highway in Barangay (village) Bamban.

The victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed by rescuers to a hospital in the locality but died during treatment.
The motorcyclist was placed under police custody while the investigation continues.
