New PRO-10 director orders review of Tony Yang’s gun documents
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines — Brig. Gen. Jaysen de Guzman, newly installed director of Police Regional Office 10 (PRO-10), has ordered the review of all documents issued by the Philippine National Police (PNP) to controversial Chinese businessman Tony Yang.
De Guzman said the review would include the circumstances leading to his acquiring a License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF), and determine the legitimacy of the documents.

PRO-10 spokesperson Maj. Joann Navarro emphasized the rigorous process involved in securing an LTOPF, noting that all required documents undergo strict verification.

Article continues after this advertisement“The LTOPF system is centralized, and we will request the central office to review the documents submitted by Chinese businessman Tony Yang who recently underwent questioning lin the Senate for his alleged involvement in Pogo operations,” Navarro said.

De Guzman was installed as the 40th director of PRO-10 on Thursday at Camp Alagar here, replacing Brig. Gen. Ricardo Layug who has retired from the service.
De Guzman is a former Philippine National Police Academy commandant before his assumption as regional director.
