BPSF distributes P1 billion in programs, aid in Cavite

About P1 billion worth of government programs, services, and cash aid were rolled out to over 120,000 beneficiaries during the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) in Cavite, which started on Sunday.

MANILA, Philippines — About P1-billion worth of government programs, services, and cash aid were rolled out to over 120,000 beneficiaries during the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) in Cavite, which started on Sunday.

The event was joined by 65 government agencies where they delivered 235 essential programs and services to the province, and was hosted by Sen. Bong Revilla and Cavite Rep. Lani Mercado.

Approximately P451 million in cash aid and 255,500 kilos of rice were distributed to beneficiaries throughout Cavite, according to a statement from House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez.

Romualdez also noted that the BSPF has consistently delivered direct services and relief to millions of Filipinos across the 24 areas visited by the service caravan thus far.

“Ang Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair ay patunay na walang maiiwan sa Bagong Pilipinas ng ating Pangulong BBM. Dito, mabilis, maayos, maginhawa at masaya ang serbisyong hatid natin sa bawat Pilipino,” the House Speaker said.

Among the key government agencies involved in the Cavite BSPF were the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda).

DOLE’s TUPAD program offered short-term employment opportunities while Tesda’s scholarship program provided educational and training resources to local residents.

“Sa pamamagitan ng mga programang ito, natutulungan natin ang ating mga kababayan na makabangon at makahanap ng trabaho o kabuhayan,” Romualdez stated.

The Cavite BPSF is part of a nationwide initiative aimed at visiting all 82 provinces in the country.

Romualdez noted that 23 previous BPSF events have provided over P13 billion in assistance to 2.8 million families.
