Phivolcs detects weak phreatic eruption at Taal Volcano
Taal Volcano in Batangas province had another minor phreatic eruption on Sunday, Oct. 6, amid ongoing unrest since last week, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In its Monday morning bulletin, Phivolcs reported that the steam-driven eruption, locally called “pusngat,” only lasted a minute.
Diesel prices are set to increase by P1.20 per liter starting Tuesday, October 8, oil companies announced in separate advisories.
Petro Gazz, Pilipinas Shell, and Seaoil also said kerosene prices would increase, too, by 70 centavos per liter while gasoline costs would remain unchanged in the latest round of adjustments.
