LEGAZPI CITY — Work in government and private institutions in Camarines Norte province was suspended on Tuesday, Oct. 22, as more heavy rainfall caused by Tropical Storm Kristine was expected.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration’s (Pagasa) forecast shows that by 2 p.m. Tuesday, Kristine would be 390 kilometers east of Daet, the capital town of Camarines Norte.

Camarines Norte Gov. Ricarte Padilla urged the public, in his work suspension advisory, to monitor weather conditions within their areas as the heavy rainfall may cause flooding, river swelling, and landslides.
