LUCENA CITY — Classes in public and private schools in Laguna province were suspended on Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday (Oct. 22 and 23) due to bad weather brought by Tropical Storm Kristine.

Gov. Ramil Hernandez issued the order on his Facebook page at around 11:30 a.m. He cited the latest weather bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued at 11 a.m. that placed Laguna under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1.

“Everyone is advised to follow instructions from the local government if evacuation is necessary in your area. Please stay safe and pray for everyone’s safety,” Hernandez said.
