MANILA, Philippines — Over 382,000 individuals nationwide are affected by tropical storm Kristine (international name: Trami), the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Wednesday.

In its 8 a.m. situational report, the agency reported that a total of 382,302 persons, equivalent to 77,910 families, are affected by the bad weather, while one person was reportedly injured.

Of the total number of affected persons, 12,698 people have been displaced, with 12,334 staying inside 306 evacuation centers nationwide, and 364 taking shelter elsewhere.

The NDRRMC also monitored 92 flooded areas in Mimaropa, Region 5 (Bicol), Region 6 (Western Visayas), Region 8 (Eastern Visayas) and Region 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula).

NDRRMC said the government has so far distributed P169,685 worth of assistance.

Based on the state weather bureau’s latest report, Kristine was last spotted 310 kilometers (km) east of Baler, Aurora, or 310 km east northeast of Infanta, Quezon.

It was carrying maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour (kph) with gusts of up to 105 kph.
