MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) has warned the public of a Facebook page impersonating the Philippine General Hospital and using former Health Undersecretary Dr. Enrique Tayag’s name.

In a statement released on Monday, the DOH said the fraudulent page promotes a supposed “blood vessel cleansing” cure for hypertension and other diseases.

The department has reported the page to the Department of Information and Communications Technology for removal from online platforms, warning that until it is taken down, “any statements, comments, or transactions from these accounts are deemed fraudulent” and could “lead to criminal charges.”

For verified health information, the public is urged to rely on official DOH channels on Facebook and X @DOHgovph, Instagram @doh.philippines, or the website www.doh.gov.ph. — Stefani Tacugue, ºÚÁÏÉç trainee
