“And we are expecting that by the end of the year, we will have finished all the guerilla fronts; we will have reduced them to zero,” he added.

Two of the guerrilla fronts are in Northern Luzon, one in Southern Luzon, and another one in the Visayas area.

Meanwhile, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. said in his state of the nation address last July that there are no more active guerilla fronts in the country, and only seven “weakened” ones are remaining.

A weakened guerrilla front means it can no longer implement its programs like recruitment and generating resources for the armed struggle as opposed to active guerrilla fronts.
