MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has declared January 2, 2025 (Thursday) a special non-working day in the municipality of Bonifacio, Misamis Occidental for its founding anniversary.
In Proclamation No. 751, signed November 18 by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Marcos said the people of Bonifacio must be granted the day to celebrate the occasion.
“It is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Bonifacio be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration,” the proclamation read.
“I, Lucas Bersamin, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, Ferdinand Marcos Jr., do hereby declare Thursday, 02 January 2025, a special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Bonifacio, Province of Misamis Occidental,” it further stated.
