The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Tuesday clarified that there is no legal basis for a “conditional threat,” which is Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa’s description of Vice President Sara Duterte’s alleged kill order against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

According to DOJ Undersecretary Jesse Andres, a threat remains a threat regardless of any condition attached to it as its essence lies in the intent to cause harm.

The Office of the Vice President’s (OVP) special disbursing officer (SDO) has admitted leaving confidential fund (CF) disbursements to OVP’s security chief as per the order of Vice President Sara Duterte.

At the hearing of the House of Representatives’ committee on good government and public accountability on Monday, Batangas 2nd District Rep. Gerville Luistro quizzed SDO Gina Acosta on how the CF of the OVP was disbursed.
