MALASIQUI, Pangasinan — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Civil Registry System (CRS) Outlets in the Ilocos Region are now accommodating clients with national identification (ID) whether in card, paper and digital formats.

This is done through a Special Lane from 12 noon onwards.

The clients with national ID requesting for the copy issuance, authentication and certification of his or her own civil registry documents and of his or her immediate family members (spouse, children and parents) can directly proceed to chosen PSA CRS Outlets as walk-in applicants.

They can do this even without booking for an appointment using the Civil Registration Service Appointment System, according to PSA-Ilocos chief administrative officer Camille Carla Beltran.

“In case the client will transact earlier than 12 noon, they are advised to book for an appointment,” she said in an interview on Thursday.

The strict implementation of the Civil Registration Service Appointment System is still in force.

Hence, clients without national ID are required to book for an appointment and present a civil registration service appointment slip upon entry in the CRS Outlet and during the screening of requirements, PSA said in an advisory.

“Just make sure that you are the owner of the national ID to avail of the special lane,” Beltran said.

She said around 1.75 million electronic Philippine IDs (ePhilID) were issued in the region from Nov. 14, 2022 to Nov.19, 2024.

Some 4.5 million Ilocos residents have registered in the Step 2 of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) as of Nov. 20.

Beltran said registration to PhilSys of children one year old and below is also highly encouraged.

Over 100,000 children below five years old in region were registered in the Step 2 as of Nov. 19 this year.
