Marcos: Gov't has not forgotten Manila Boys' Town

MANILA, Philippines — As Christmas Day nears, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. reminded the wards of Manila Boys’ Town that the government has “not forgotten” them and is always ready to assist them.

The President visited the complex for a gift-giving activity on Monday. The wards received milk, coffee, biscuits, toiletries, and blankets, among others.

“We will continue to help you, and we will continue to worry about you. Do not think even for a moment that you have been forgotten or are no longer being thought of. You are always in our thoughts,” Marcos said in Filipino.

He also reiterated his wish for every Filipino to have a meaningful and joyful Christmas.

“We are doing everything to continue to fulfill our prayer that all Filipinos will feel the Christmas spirit,” Marcos said in Filipino.

“There are storms, there are fires. But we are Filipinos; we are used to that. Even if we stumble a little, we will get up and walk again,” he added.

Earlier on Monday, Marcos also visited Marillac Hills and Haven for Women in Muntinlupa City.

He spearheaded the turnover of 20 sacks of rice for Marillac Hills and 10 sacks for Haven for Women. They also received medicines, vitamins, toiletries, and supplies for babies.
