Fire guts 10 establishments in Nueva Ecija’s old capitol compound
CABANATUAN CITY — A fire on Thursday night caused an estimated P10 million in damage after engulfing ten establishments and offices inside the Nueva Ecija old capitol compound along Burgos Avenue, Barangay Quezon District.
The City Fire Station reported that the blaze began at 11:31 p.m. and was declared out by 1:31 a.m. Friday.
Eight fire trucks and three ambulances from various fire stations and local government units responded to the fire.

The Cabanatuan City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office also deployed an ambulance and a water tanker to assist.
Article continues after this advertisementSome affected establishments were the Language Skills Institute Office, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines—Nueva Ecija Chapter Office, the Civilian Security Unit Office, and seven single-unit canteens.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire. INQ
