A party list lawmaker wants the House of Representatives to look into the reported wastage of some P11.18-billion worth of medicine and medical supplies, including seven million vials of COVID-19 vaccines, which expired while stored in the warehouses and facilities of the Department of Health (DOH).
Agri party-list Rep. Wilbert Lee said he filed House Resolution No. 2117 with the aim of 鈥渆xacting immediate accountability, corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.鈥
He also pushed for 鈥渟ystemic reforms in the procurement, storage, and distribution of these essential medicines and supplies that can save millions of Filipino lives.鈥
