A party list lawmaker wants the House of Representatives to look into the reported wastage of some P11.18-billion worth of medicine and medical supplies, including seven million vials of COVID-19 vaccines, which expired while stored in the warehouses and facilities of the Department of Health (DOH).
Agri party-list Rep. Wilbert Lee said he filed House Resolution No. 2117 with the aim of 鈥渆xacting immediate accountability, corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.鈥�
He also pushed for 鈥渟ystemic reforms in the procurement, storage, and distribution of these essential medicines and supplies that can save millions of Filipino lives.鈥�
