MANILA, Philippines 鈥� President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Tuesday led the inauguration of a one-stop shop for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Makati City, providing essential services for OFWs.
The newly inaugurated One-Stop Overseas Filipino Workers Agarang Kalinga at Saklolo para sa mga OFW na Nangangailangan Aksyon Center was inaugurated along with the Department of Migrant Workers鈥� (DMW) new office.
鈥淎ng Aksyon Center ay hindi lamang isang opisina. Isa itong simbolo ng mabilis, maayos, at pinagsama- samang serbisyo para sa ating mga OFW,鈥� said Marcos in his speech.
(The Aksyon Center is not just an office. It is a symbol of fast, efficient, and integrated services for our OFWs.)

鈥淟ayunin nitong gawing mas madali ang kanilang proseso 鈥� mula sa reintegrasyon, legal na tulong, hanggang sa pagsasanay at iba pang serbisyong kailangan nila,鈥� he added.
(It aims to make their processes easier 鈥� from reintegration and legal assistance to training and other services they need.)
The center also includes the 鈥淢igrant鈥檚 Brew,鈥� a space exclusively for migrant Filipino workers who wish to relax.
Marcos then tagged the new DMW office in Makati as 鈥渟pecial,鈥� as it is linked to the agency鈥檚 central office to quickly meet the OFWs鈥� needs.

The Aksyon Center building will also serve as an annex of the DMW, where some of its offices will be relocated from its current headquarters at the Blas F. Ople Building in Ortigas Avenue, Mandaluyong City.
鈥淗indi lang ito opisina; isa itong one-stop shop na naglalaman ng mahahalagang serbisyo para sa ating mga OFW. Ang gusaling ito ay magbibigay ng frontline services tulad ng pagpoproseso ng dokumento ng mga balikbayan, OWWA membership, renewal, at iba pang mga serbisyo na hinahanap sa ating DMW,鈥� said Marcos, adding that the center will also be linked to other essential government agencies.
(This isn鈥檛 just an office; it鈥檚 a one-stop shop that houses essential services for our OFWs. The building will offer frontline services such as processing documents for returning Filipinos, OWWA membership, renewals, and other services provided by DMW.)
Marcos also noted that the facility complements the government鈥檚 eGov PH App, launched in June 2023.
He then assured OFWs that the government would continue advocating for their welfare.
