MANILA, Philippines 鈥 The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) arrested 2,010 players and confiscated a total of P493,182.50 jackpot in separate anti-illegal gambling operations across Metro Manila.
The NCRPO said it conducted 808 anti-illegal gambling operations from Nov. 23 to Dec. 20 within its five districts: Manila Police District, Quezon City Police District, Northern Police District (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela), Eastern Police District (Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina, San Juan) and Southern Police District (Las Pi帽as, Makati, Muntinlupa, Para帽aque, Pasay, Pateros, Taguig).
鈥淭he most common violations identified were cara y cruz, playing cards, betting, dice games, EZ2, and loteng,鈥 it said in a statement released Friday night.

The NCRPO said it seeks the cooperation of local government units down to the barangay level to dismantle illegal gambling operations in Metro Manila.

鈥淲e are committed to eradicating these illegal activities that harm our communities. The NCRPO鈥檚 intensified campaign against illegal gambling is aligned with the PNP鈥檚 thrust of effective enforcement of all laws,鈥 NCRPO Acting Director Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin said.
鈥淚n this campaign, public participation is crucial, thus, we urge everyone to report any illegal gambling activities in their area,鈥 he added.
