MANILA, Philippines — Three different weather systems will bring rain over several parts of the country on Thursday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

“Para naman sa lagay ng ating panahon bukas, asahan pa nga rin natin itong shear line na magdadala ng mga paulan sa Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, malaking bahagi ng Mimaropa, maliban na nga lang sa parte ng Palawan pati na rin sa may Bicol Region,” Pagasa weather specialist Veronica Torres said on Wednesday.

(For Thursday’s weather forecast, we can still expect the shear line to bring rain to Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, most of Mimaropa except parts of Palawan, and the Bicol Region.)

“Samantalang itong nalalabing bahagi ng bansa, mostly sa may Northern Luzon, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region at Ilocos Region, posible naman maging maulap at may mga dalang paulan ang amihan o northeast monsoon,” she added.

(Meanwhile, the rest of the country, particularly Northern Luzon, Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the Ilocos Region, may experience cloudy skies with rain brought by the northeast monsoon.)

Meanwhile, the intertropical convergence zone, or ITCZ, is expected to bring rain over the southern and eastern portions of Mindanao.

The rest of Visayas and Mindanao, on the other hand, may have relatively fairer weather with chances of localized thunderstorms.
