LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines β The Office of Civil Defense in Bicol (OCD-5) reported that over 300 individuals are currently staying in various evacuation centers in Camarines Sur due to the effects of the shear line.
In an interview on Friday, OCD-5 spokesperson Gremil Alexis Naz said 77 families, or 385 individuals, are in five evacuation centers as continuous rains have caused flooding and landslides in several towns across the province.
βThe evacuated families are from Buhi town, while other affected families have already gone home. They are from Ragay, Sipocot, and Libmanan,β he said.
Naz said the OCD has recorded flooding in 13 local government units.
βAt least 54 flooding incidents have been reported. Currently, 13 barangays (villages) are still flooded, while water has subsided in 38 others,β he said.
The OCD said six national roads and bridges are now restricted to one-lane traffic, while 14 local roads are not passable for any vehicles, two are impassable for light vehicles, and one is passable one lane only.
Naz said they are still awaiting reports from other provinces.
