MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) got the television sets promised by the House of Representatives leadership as a Christmas gift, Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Elizaldy Co said on Tuesday.

In a statement before the year ended, Co said the television sets promised by him, House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, and Tingog party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez during the Christmas party at the PCMC last December 12 were delivered already.

“Napakalaking tulong po nito. Salamat dahil sa wakas may mapapanooran kami kapag nababagot habang inaalagaan ang anak namin dito sa ospital,” Lea Baretto Violanda, a parent of a patient, told Co’s office.

(This means a lot to us. Thank you because finally, we have something to watch from whenever we feel bored while taking care of our kids here at the hospital.)

“Simula nang ma-confine kami, wala talaga kaming libangan dito. Malaking bagay itong TV para sa amin,” Annalyn Dela Cruz, another parent whose child has been confined in PCMC for two months, said.

(Ever since my child was confined, we never had any form of entertainment. This TV set is a big thing for us.)
