PNP reshuffle: 3 regions get new police chiefs

MANILA, Philippines — The latest Philippine National Police (PNP) reshuffle assigned new chiefs to its three regional offices (PRO).
Based on a document made public on Saturday, Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, who held the position of PNP-Public Information Office (PIO) chief and spokesperson was designated director of PRO3 (Central Luzon).
Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan was moved from being chief of PRO3 to director of PRO7 (Central Visayas), while Brig. Gen. Roel Rodolfo, who was the officer-in-charge of the PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG), was assigned as the new director of PRO9 (Zamboanga Peninsula) replacing Brig. Gen. Bowenn Joey Masauding, who is now deputy director for comptrollership.
The new PNP-PIO head and spokesperson is Col. Randolf Tuaño, who served as deputy director for administration in the PNP Finance Service.

Article continues after this advertisementCol. Elmer Ragay, who was deputy director for operations in the PRO-Cordillera Administrative Region, will take the place of Rodolfo as PNP-AKG head.

Others affected by the PNP reshuffle were Brig. Gen. Wilson Asueta and Brig. Gen. William Mongas Segun. Asueta was designated as the new acting deputy director for information and communications technology management while Segun was picked as his replacement in Area Police Command-Southern Luzon as its deputy commander.
These police officials will assume their respective new posts starting January 10, 2025.
