It’s rainy Sunday in most parts of the country due to 3 weather systems
MANILA, Philippines — Three weather systems are expected to bring rain to most parts of the country on Sunday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In a morning forecast, Pagasa said the shear line, easterlies and northeast monsoon, locally known as amihan, will continue to bring cloudy and rainy weather in various parts of the country.
“Malaking bahagi pa rin ng ating bansa ang makakaranas ng mga pag-ulan ngayong araw,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said on Sunday.

(There are cloud clusters over the eastern part of Southern Luzon and Visayas wherein these clouds were brought by shear line that is still affecting Southern Luzon and the eastern part of Visayas.)
“Meron din tayong mga kaulapan dito sa silangan ng Mindanao na dala naman ng easterlies. Ito ay magdudulot ng pag-ulan dito sa southern and eastern portion ng Mindanao,” Castańeda pointed out.
(We also have cloud clusters here in the east of Mindanao brought by easterlies. This will bring rain in the southern and eastern portion of Mindanao.)
“Samantala, ang northeast monsoon naman ay patuloy na nagdudulot ng malamig na panahon sa nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon at meron din itong dalang maulap na kalangitan at pag-ulan dito sa may malaking bahagi ng Northern Luzon,” she added.
(Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon continues to bring cold weather over the rest of Luzon and it is also bringing cloudy skies and rain here in large parts of Northern Luzon.)
No low-pressure area or tropical cyclone was monitored inside and outside the country’s boundary.
However, Pagasa raised a gale warning over the some coastal areas where waves from 2.8 to 5.5 meters high are likely.
