Tolentino backs INC peace rally

MANILA, Philippines — Senator Francis Tolentino voiced his support on Sunday for the Iglesia ni Cristo’s (INC) upcoming “National Rally for Peace,” describing it as a timely initiative that promotes unity and harmony.

“The Rally for Peace reflects the shared desire of Filipinos for understanding and cooperation, transcending divisions for the common good,” Tolentino said in a statement.

He also commended the INC for organizing the event, urging Filipinos to embrace its message of solidarity.

“This initiative is a timely and vital reminder of the need for unity, dialogue, and harmony amidst the challenges our nation faces,” he added.

The peace rally is set to take place on Monday, Jan. 13, at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila, with thousands of participants expected to join from various communities.

With this, the senator also urged Filipinos to embody the event’s spirit and work collectively toward building a more peaceful and united Philippines.
