LUCENA CITY 鈥� Police confiscated more than P1.2 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) from nine suspected drug traffickers who were arrested on Tuesday and Wednesday (Jan. 14 and 15) in buy-bust operations in Batangas, Rizal, and Laguna provinces.
The Police Regional Office 4A (PRO-4A) reported that the drug enforcement unit in Batangas City arrested alias 鈥淎llan鈥� at 10:55 p.m. on Tuesday after he sold shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay Alangilan.
The suspect was found in alleged possession of a plastic sachet containing shabu weighing 100 grams with an estimated value of P680,000.
Four hours later, the same police team held 鈥淐hristian鈥� and 鈥淢anuel鈥� in another sting operation in Barangay Cuta at 2:16 a.m. Wednesday.
The duo yielded eight sachets of shabu weighing 25 grams worth P170,000.
In Laguna, anti-illegal drug operatives in Cabuyao City busted 鈥淲endell鈥� and 鈥淏enedicto鈥� in Barangay Sala at 2:21 a.m. Wednesday.
The suspects were caught with 20 grams of shabu worth P136,000.
The police also confiscated a motorcycle with sidecar believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.
In Sta. Cruz town also in Laguna, policemen nabbed 鈥淓rryl鈥� at 3:40 a.m. Wednesday in Barangay Bagumbayan.
He was found in alleged possession of P88,400 worth of shabu. The cops also seized the suspect鈥檚 motorcycle.
Meanwhile, anti-illegal drugs operatives in Binangonan, Rizal arrested 鈥淚so鈥�, 鈥淜alabaw,鈥� and 鈥淓mpoy鈥� at 2 a.m. Wednesday in Barangay Pantok after selling meth to a poseur buyer.
The group was caught with eight sachets of meth worth P214,540.
The cops confiscated a mobile phone, which will be examined for records of drug transactions.
The report tagged Allan as included in the police drug watch list as a newly identified HVI or high-value individual in the local drug trade.
HVI refers to financiers, traffickers, manufacturers, and importers of illegal drugs or leaders/members of drug groups.
The rest of the arrested suspects are classified as street-level drug pushers.
All suspects are under police custody and are facing complaints of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
