Branded as SALIN: Lakbayan Para sa mga Guro, the program has successfully conducted 18 sessions, reaching over 200 participants since its launch in 2023. In 2024 alone, it welcomed educators from 59 schools across Metro Manila鈥檚 East Zone.
In collaboration with the Department of Education 鈥 National Capital Region (DepEd NCR), the program offers teacher-participants an immersive, whole-day tour of Manila Water鈥檚 key facilities.
The journey begins at La Mesa Ecopark, Metro Manila鈥檚 environmental hub, where participants learn about the company鈥檚 sustainability initiatives. They then visit La Mesa Dam, gaining insights into its pivotal role in the water treatment process.
The tour culminates at Manila Water鈥檚 water and wastewater treatment plants, where subject matter experts provide detailed explanations of the processes that ensure safe drinking water for customers and the proper treatment of wastewater before its return to natural waterways.
