MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is deploying mobile security operation centers (MSOCs) to ensure the security and integrity of transmission for the 2025 polls, a DICT official said on Wednesday.
According to Engr. Michael Gorospe, Planning Officer of the DICT National ICT Planning, Policy and Standards Bureau, the MSOCs monitor the flow of transmission and block any malicious threats detected.

“In terms of security, our cybersecurity, we are actually deploying mobile SOCs [security operation center] to maintain and monitor security and integrity of the transmission,” Gorospe answered when Senator Raffy Tulfo asked for the preparations of the agency for the upcoming elections during a hearing of the committee on public services.

Article continues after this advertisementGorospe noted that they are coordinating with the National Telecommunications Office and telecommunications companies on their commitments to provide internet for the public.

“MSOCs check the transmission and then in terms of websites, to avoid being hijacked, we have a database that contains a list of malicious websites then we block these automatically so the public won’t get to access them,” Gorospe added.
The Commission on Elections previously tapped iOne as the provider of the Secure Electronic Transmission Services for May polls.
