Road closures, re-routing set for Feast of Sto. Niño in Pandacan

MANILA – Nine streets in Pandacan, Manila have been temporarily closed in preparation for the , scheduled on Sunday.
The Manila Public Information Office (MPIO) announced on Saturday that the road closures began 7 a.m. Saturday.
The affected streets are:
Jesus St.-Palumpong St. (Quirino Ave. to Beata St.);
Hilum St. (Teodoro San Luis St. to Beata St.);
Beata St. (Hilum St. to T. Claudio St.);
E. Zamora St. (Quirino Ave. to Hilum St.);
Laura St. (Menandro to Beata St.);
Labores St. (Paco-Sta. Mesa Rd. to Jesus St.);
Narciso St. (Jesus St. to Hilum St.);
Industria St. (Jesus St. to Hilum St.);
Teodoro San Luis St. (Jesus St. to Hilum St.).
Re-routing is also being implemented as follows:
Vehicles from Mabini Bridge (Nagtahan) should proceed to Quirino Ave.;
Vehicles from Paco-Sta. Mesa Bridge; heading to Beata, Palumpong, or Laura St. should use Quirino Ave.;
Vehicles from Paz M. Guazon St. should turn left to Mabini Bridge or right to Quirino Ave.;
Vehicles from Dr. M.L. Carreon St. heading to Menandro St. should take Laura St., Paco-Sta. Mesa Rd., or Tomas Claudio St.;
The Feast of Sto. Niño, held every third Sunday of January, is a significant religious event in Tondo and Pandacan.
