MANILA, Philippines — The mall security guard accused of mistreating a young girl as seen in a viral video online, appeared at the Philippine National Police (PNP) – Supervisory Office on Security and Investigation Agency (Sosia) on Monday morning to face the issues.
Last January 17, the Sosia summoned the security guard from the Redeye II Security Services, Inc. The guard was seen destroying the sampaguita flowers the victim was selling while asking her to leave the mall premises.
In a report, the PNP-Civil Security Group (CSG) said the meeting was attended by the investigator, the security guard, his legal counsel, and the operations manager of the security agency.
“The meeting was convened to address the viral video circulating on social media involving [the] SG (security guard). The investigator informed all parties of the preliminary investigation’s purpose and the requirements for the submission of pertinent documents and affidavits,” CSG said.
