Quiboloy hospitalized due to pneumonia
MANILA, Philippines — Detained Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy was brought back hospital over the weekend this time due to pneumonia, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) confirmed on Tuesday.
Quiboloy, who is accused of child abuse, sexual abuse, and qualified trafficking, was previously brought to the Philippine Heart Center last November because of an irregular heartbeat.
“The BJMP confirms that on Saturday, 18 January 2025, at around 5 PM, PDL (person deprived of liberty) Apollo Quiboloy was brought to Rizal Medical Center (RMC) by BJMP-Pasig City Jail Male Dormitory,” the BJMP said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the BJMP, Quiboloy complained of “difficulty of breathing.”
“The attending physician at RMC recommended hospital confinement with a diagnosis of community-acquired pneumonia,” BJMP said.
