Drug suspect yields P714,000 worth of shabu in Rizal bust
LUCENA CITY — Police anti-illegal drugs operatives seized P714,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) from an alleged drug trafficker in San Mateo, Rizal, on Friday, January 24.
The Region 4A police, in a spot report issued on Saturday, said that members of the local police drug enforcement unit arrested “Jeff” at 8:34 p.m. after he reportedly sold P500 worth of shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay (village) Ampid 1.
The operatives confiscated from the suspect seven sealed plastic sachets and one knot-tied plastic bag containing shabu, weighing 105 grams, with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P714,000, as well as a digital weighing scale.

Also confiscated were a motorcycle, believed to have been used by the suspect in his alleged illegal activities, and a mobile phone, which will be examined for records of drug transactions.

HVI refers to financiers, traffickers, manufacturers, and importers of illegal drugs or leaders/members of drug groups.
The suspect was detained and will face the charge of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
