MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country are expected to experience cloudy skies and rain showers on Sunday due to three weather systems, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

In a morning forecast, Pagasa said northeast monsoon or amihan will mainly affect extreme Northern Luzon, Northern Luzon, and eastern parts of the country.

On the other hand, the shear line will also bring high chances of rain in Northern Luzon and the eastern parts of the country.

Meanwhile, easterlies will affect most parts of Mindanao and some parts of Eastern Visayas.

“Ine-expect nga po natin sa mga susunod na araw, magkakaroon tayo ng surge of northeast monsoon kung saan patuloy po ito magdadala ng malamig na panahon,” weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.
