MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) said it will issue a show cause order for the other driver involved in the viral motor crash along the Marikina-Rizal-Laguna-Quezon (Marilaque) Highway.
The crash involved a motovlogger and another individual, where the vlogger’s motorcycle went into a group of civilians, fatally wounding him and injuring four, according to the Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group (PNP HPG).
In a statement Tuesday, LTO Chief Vigor Mendoza II said they “will issue a show cause order against the survivor for him to explain why his driver’s license should not be revoked for the stunt.”

Mendoza also ordered the LTO Calabarzon office to crack down on motorcycle exhibitions by riders along the road.
“We would like to remind the motorcycle riders again to refrain from turning public roads as your exhibition areas. Napaka-iresponsableng gawain po ito (This is so irresponsible to do),” Mendoza said in the statement.
“May mga tamang lugar para doon at hindi dapat ang mga kalsada dahil nilalagay ninyo sa alanganin ang buhay ng mga road users,” the LTO chief added.
(There are right places for this and not on the streets because you are putting the lives of road users in danger.)
According to data from the PNP HPG, the viral road crash was the 13th incident recorded by the Rizal Highway Patrol Team from Jan. 1 to 28.
