MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. believes that his administration’s good performance in the latest Social Weather Stations survey could help candidates running under the administration’s slate in the 2025 midterm elections.
In an ambush interview in Pasay City on Friday, he was asked whether the administration’s 59 percent satisfaction rating in December could help garner support for its senatorial slate.
(Maybe—I’m sure it has an effect. That will help.)
After the interview, Marcos attended the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) Leaders’ Convergence Summit at the Manila Hotel.
In his speech, Marcos called on PFP members to turn party principles into tangible programs and initiatives that enhance Filipinos’ quality of life.
“How do we make those principles into reality? And that’s what these elections are all about,” he said.
The PFP, formed in 2018, is a national political party headed by Marcos.
(So let us take that to heart. Let us not forget why we are here. Let us not forget what brought us here—our purpose; the goal of improving the lives of every Filipino, of beautifying and defending the Philippines.)
