MANILA, Philippines — The easterlies and the northeast monsoon or amihan will bring cloudy skies and rain showers across the country in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Sunday.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, Pagasa reported that the easterlies would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in Metro Manila.

Meanwhile, Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms also due to the warm winds from the Pacific Ocean.

Pagasa warned that severe thunderstorms may trigger flash floods or landslides in affected areas.
