“I don’t think we will be able to allow drinking to continue. Prior to the issuance of a specific ordinance covering all aspects, I will be issuing an executive order to that effect,” he said.

To further ensure public safety, Treñas will request the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to deploy breath analyzers and conduct sobriety tests on drivers before they board their vehicles.

He said it was unfortunate that everyone was caught by surprise with the magnitude of people visiting the place and the garbage they left behind.

Those with collars will be returned to their owners, while they will bring the stray ones to the dog pound, where they will be vaccinated, spayed, and neutered so they won’t pose any danger, he added.

Ambulant vendors will be allowed provided they have permits, including health and sanitary permits from the city government.
