Nerez appointed new PDEA chief

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. has named retired Maj. Gen. Isagani Nerez as the new chief of the

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin confirmed this in a Viber message to reporters on Tuesday.

Nerez took his oath at Malacañang earlier in the day. He will replace Director General Moro Virgilio Lazo.

In 2022, Nerez was appointed by Marcos as undersecretary of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Military Affairs.
