MANILA, Philippines 鈥� The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) reported a 14.12-percent drop in major focus crimes, from 701 incidents logged between Oct. 1, 2023, and Feb. 1, 2024, to 602 incidents logged between Oct. 1, 2024, and Feb. 1, 2025.
According to data from the QCPD released on Tuesday, physical injury rates have gone down by 52.50 percent, rape by 36.21 percent, murder rates by 24.41 percent, robbery by 17.53 percent and theft by 9.49 percent.
The district police鈥檚 anti-drug operations yielded P50,745,116.80 worth of illegal drugs confiscated and 1,059 individuals arrested from Oct. 1, 2024 to Feb. 1, 2025.
Meanwhile, 113 firearms were seized and 109 individuals were apprehended in the district鈥檚 campaign against loose firearms during the same period.
Further, 1,309 wanted persons and 1,321 illegal gamblers were apprehended.

The QCPD touted that its Unified Intelligence and Investigation Center processed 5,981 facial recognition requests, identifying 670 suspects from its database.
Of this number, 189 individuals were found to have committed offenses in other jurisdictions and 72 individuals were found to be using aliases to evade arrest.
Moreover, the district police attributed the tracking of 88 suspects with active warrants to the Philippine National Police鈥檚 (PNP) electronic warrant system.

鈥淸The] key to these successes was advanced crime monitoring through the Integrated Command, Control, and Communication Center (IC3), which allowed for real-time surveillance and rapid response to incidents,鈥� the QCPD said in a statement.
