MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday said his son Ilocos Norte 1st district Rep. Sandro Marcos sought his opinion on signing the fourth impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte.
In a press briefing, President Marcos was asked whether his son consulted him on the matter. He responded, “He did.”
He also said that once an impeachment complaint is filed, both chambers of Congress have “no choice” but to act on it.
“So I told him, do your duty. You are constitutionally mandated to carry out the process,” President Marcos said.
