CEBU CITY – Police are after a man from outside of Central Visayas identified by two minors who allegedly fell victim to online sexual abuse.
The victims from Barangay Cadulawan, Talisay City were reportedly subjected to online sexual exploitation by the man who befriended them through Facebook (FB), C/Master Sgt. Shindey Taboco, head of the Women and Children Protection Desk of the Talisay City Police Office, said Friday.
“The suspect made video calls to these minors and performed lewd acts in open camera. The parents reported to the police,” Taboco added.
Col. Lemuel Gonda, chief of RACU-7, said they have already identified the suspect, based on the children’s testimony and the FB pictures presented, and determined the location of the suspect outside Central Visayas.
“If we have all the details of his identity, we will file a case and possible follow-up operations,” Gonda told the Philippine Agency.

Taboco said children who have FB accounts are prone to abuse if no parents are monitoring their activities online.
“Parents should monitor their children. They should maintain access to their children’s Facebook accounts and check their settings and friends,” Taboco said.
