Cops arrest 3 Chinese Pogo workers, rescue 23 Filipinos in Calamba City

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested three Chinese nationals who were allegedly behind the Philippine offshore gaming operation (Pogo) in Calamba City, Laguna on Friday, Feb. 14.
The Region 4A police said a team from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), local policemen in coordination with the Bureau of Immigration and Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC), armed with a mission order, raided the Beauty Technologies Corp. office in Barangay (village) Lamesa around 9 a.m.
The raid resulted in the arrest of three Chinese identified by their aliases as “Lou,” “Weng” and “Yuan.”

Article continues after this advertisement“Upon verification at BPLO (Business Permit and Licensing Office), Calamba City, Laguna, the Beauty Technologies Corp. has no business permit or any legal papers to operate in Calamba City, Laguna,” the report stated.
The report said the PAOCC will take custody of the Chinese nationals while the BI will initiate deportation process.
