MANILA, Philippines — A total of 59 couples exchanged vows during the annual San Juan “Kasalang Panlungsod” (city wedding) on Friday, Valentine’s Day, at the San Juan Gymnasium. Mayor Francis Zamora officiated the mass wedding which included three elderly couples who are nearing their golden years.
Joining the momentous occasion were San Juan’s first lady, Keri Zamora, Rep. Bel Zamora, Vice Mayor Angelo Agcaoili, city councilors, and representatives from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

“San Juan City’s annual Kasalang Panlungsod is our way of supporting every San Juaneño couple in their journey of love and commitment. It is the thrust of the Local Government of San Juan to strengthen San Juaneño families because I believe that a strong family is the foundation of a strong society,” Mayor Zamora said.
The mayor, who has been married to Keri Zamora for 23 years, emphasized the importance of love, unity, and commitment in building lasting relationships.
As part of the celebration, each couple received a wedding cake, a bouquet for the bride, a festive wedding reception, and P5,000. They will also get a framed photo of themselves with San Juan City officials.
The annual Valentine’s Day event is part of Makabagong San Juan’s commitment to strengthening the family.
