MANILA, Philippines 鈥� 聽Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle on Sunday called on the faithful to pray for Pope Francis who remains in critical condition.
鈥淭oday, we pray in a special way for Pope Francis,鈥� Tagle said in his homily as he presided over Mass at the Pontificio Collegio Filippino chapel in Rome.
鈥淚n the spirit of communion and as the Gospel states, [we may] be vessels of God鈥檚 compassion to him and to many other people who are suffering from illness,鈥� he added.

The pope had no more respiratory crisis since Saturday night but was still receiving high flows of supplemental oxygen, according to the Vatican update.

Tagle joined the Vatican in offering special prayers to Pope Francis.
