LUCENA CITY — The police have started looking for a dog owner who shot and injured a teenage boy whose father threw a stone at his pet in Siniloan, Laguna, on Wednesday.
A report from the Region 4A police on Thursday said the victim, Vincent Parungao, his father, and step-mother were walking on their way home around 11:30 p.m. in Barangay Halayhayin when a dog owned by “Dondon” tried to bite the victim.
The boy’s father, who was unidentified in the report, took a stone and threw it at the dog. The suspect, who saw the incident, drew a handgun and fired a single shot, hitting the victim on the right side of his body.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and is now in stable condition.
The suspect escaped after the shooting and is now the subject of a police manhunt.
