MANILA, Philippines 鈥� An elderly woman died after falling into the Edsa Cubao tunnel over the weekend, authorities said Monday.
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) shared photos showing the victim falling from the footbridge near the MRT-3鈥檚 Araneta Center-Cubao station.

鈥淎mid the early morning haze of Sunday, March 2, emergency crews and authorities swiftly converged on a Cubao footbridge following the tragic fall of an unidentified elderly woman,鈥� the Department of Transportation said in a statement.
The DOTr said authorities are reviewing the CCTV footage to piece together the final moments of the victim.
The elderly woman carried no identification, but a note was recovered from her.
