LUCENA CITY — Three suspected drug traffickers were arrested Monday in buy-bust operations in Laguna and Batangas provinces, the police said. They yielded more than P183,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm.

The Police Region 4A reported on Tuesday, March 4, that anti-narcotics operatives in San Pablo City, Laguna, arrested two drug pushers identified as “Roy” and “Carlos” at 8:12 p.m. after they sold P500 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay Del Remedio.

Seized from the suspect were five plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 25 grams worth P170,000.

In Tuy, Batangas, police drug enforcers held “Peter” in a sting operation around 11:15 p.m. in Barangay Rillo.

The operatives caught the suspect with two sachets of meth worth P13,600 and carrying an undocumented Smith and Wesson 357 revolver with three bullets.

Authorities also seized a mobile phone, which will be examined for records of drug transactions.

The police also confiscated a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspect in his illegal drug trade.

All suspects are under police custody and will face complaints of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Peter will also face another case for illegal possession of a firearm and violation of the election gun ban.
