MANILA, Philippines — The University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) application period for Academic Year 2026-2027 opened on Monday, March 3 will close on March 31, 2025.
Grade 11 students in Academic Year 2024-2025 can take the exam.
Grade 12 students in Academic Year 2024-2025 are also eligible for the test, if they have not previously taken the UPCAT.
“Applicants must have their Grade 11 schools confirm their eligibility in the Form 2A online portal by April 4, 2025 and complete their grades submission (Form 2B) between August 4 to 25, 2025,” the university said on its website.
“Test permits will be released via the UPCAT online portal in July 2025,” it added.
The UPCAT is slated for August 2 and 3, 2025, across 116 testing centers nationwide.
New locations have been set up in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur and Santa Maria, Davao Occidental, according to the state university.
UP advised prospective test-takers to await further details on its Office of Admissions UPCAT website,.
Financial aid for passers
The university added that it is offering financial aid for UPCAT passers from “low-income backgrounds and geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.”
UP’s Lingap Iskolar program caters to students without other scholarships and whose annual family income is P135,000 and below.
The program seeks to provide students allowance for housing, food, communication, transportation and educational materials.
“Students can also avail of mentoring programs and apply for the Student Assistant Work Program (SAGA Program) for additional financial support,” UP said.
“Interested students can coordinate with the UP Office of Student Development Services (OSDS) or their respective constituent university’s Office of Student Affairs (OSA) within the confirmation period set by the UP Office of Admissions,” it added.
