MANILA, Philippines — The owner of a business selling unregistered medicines was arrested in Pasay City, according to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).
The CIDG reported on Thursday that it confiscated unregistered medicines worth P500,000 from a residential unit in Barangay 76 in Pasay in a buy-bust operation last Monday.
The medicines seized included antibiotics, glucose injections, herbal supplements, and pain relief medications.
The CIDG identified the suspect only by the name “Wenkai.”

The suspect faces a charge before the National Prosecution Service for violating the Food and Drug Administration Act.
