MANILA, Philippines 鈥� The highest heat index on Friday is forecast at 41掳C in two areas, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Pagasa in its 5 p.m. Thursday bulletin said Zamboanga City in Zamboanga del Sur and Cotabato City in Maguindanao will experience the 鈥渆xtreme caution鈥� heat index.
Under this category (33掳颁 to 41掳), heat cramps and heat exhaustion are possible while continued exposure to the sun can lead to heat stroke.
